SC refuses to interfere with Rao’s appointment case

-

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to interfere with M Nageswara Rao’s appointment as interim Director of the CBI as a fulltime director has already been appointed. “No interference is called for as CBI director has been appointed,” said a bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra. The court’s order came on a plea filed by NGO Common Cause against Rao’s appointment as CBI director after the then CBI Director Alok Verma was transferred from the post.
