Loose fiscal, monetary policies not to boost economy: Nomura

MUMBAI: Despite the almost lose fiscal and monetary policies, the economy is likely to slow down to 6-6.5 percent in the first half of 2019, due to weak global demand, political uncertaint­y and tighter financial conditions, says brokerage report. The Reserve Bank under the new governor had last week projected a GDP growth of 7.4 percent for 2019-20--7.27.4 per cent in first half, and 7.5 percent in the second half.
