Abhimanyu Gandhi (+10 handicap) and teammate Nabil Lakdawala (+10) outplayed the pair of Akshay Gogari (+40) and Chandu Kansodaria (+30) by recording a strong 3-0 win in a second round match of the Khar Gymkhana Snooker Shootout 2019, co-sponsored by Rustomjee Builders and Nagee Cues, and played at Khar Gymkhana’s Yasin Merchant Snooker Room. Results (2nd-Rd): N Lakdawala (+10) / A Gandhi (+10) bt A Gogari (+40) / C Kansodaria (+30) 3-0; 1st Rd: S Kakad (+30) / M Kasare (+30) bt Sanjiv Shah (+30) / V Singh Nagi (+40) 3-2.

Central Bank of India defeated Western Railways 3-1 in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League, at the Western Railway ground, Mahalaxmi, here on Tuesday.

Striker Deepak Pal provided Central Bank with a solid start putting them ahead in the 1st minutes of play. Somnath Mondal levelled the scoreline for Railway, however their short was short lived when Yogesh Kadam who struck two goals, to snatch three points.

In another match, Rakesh Patne scored the match-winner for Mumbai Strikers in their 1-0 win over GM Sports Club 1-0.

Millat FC romped home with a 6-1 win over Bombay Muslims, in the game played at Cooperage ground.
