Help students This is in reference with the news item on your front page “HSC students are in a tizzy." Although teachers’ demands are genuine and that they have been hoodwinked by the administration still they should give a second thought and listen to the request of the students who are at the crossroad of their future. — R M Deshpande Be brave This is in reference to “68 mn girls at risk of genital mutilation by 2030:WHO. This reflects very badly on the organisations who have allowed to continue this type of practice. I feel unless there is world wide committed activism by public, this shameful practice custom will continue. It seems UN is a silent spectator so also WHO. It means to let the innocent girls go through hell. The women are also to be blamed for allowing a culture of timidity, or say, of meekness. As a senior citizen, my heart goes to the innocent girls who are victims. — M Bashir A Shaikh Habitual reaction On Tuesday, in his first reaction after Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that India should stop pointing fingers on Pakistan and blaming it without a shred of evidence, no Pakistani is involved in Pulwama terror attack. And he insinuated that Indian's response to the terror attack is determined by the forthcoming General Election. We are not surprised to hear Khan's statement because It is Pakistan's habit to deny its involvement after terror attacks for example 26/11and Pathankot attacks. — M M Rahman
