STATE WILL GET A SENA CM: RAUT
Amid the deadlock over the government formation in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) and spokesperson, Sanjay Raut, reaffirmed on Tuesday that the next chief minister of Maharashtra will be from Sena.
“The decision of the government formation will be taken soon and the chief minister will be from Sena,” said Raut.
He further stated, the politics of the state is changing and Sena will get deserving share.
“Maharashtra politics is changing and the Sena will win its fight for justice. We will get what we deserve,” added Raut.
Raut said it was “very understanding” of the
BJP to broach the subject of sharing of Maharashtra CM’s post for 2.5 years.
“I haven’t heard what they (BJP) leaders said. But if they have indeed spoken about dis- cussing the sharing of CM’s post, then I must say it is very understanding of them,” Raut told a Marathi TV channel.
The Sena leader said, “we want a written assurance from BJP (over sharing the CM’s post) as has been our stand from day one.”
The Sena spokesperson further stated, the Sena is a believer of clean politics and democracy and it will oppose the President’s rule if it is imposed in Maharashtra.
“President’s rule will hurt the dignity of our state. Sena will not support it’s imposition as it is undemocratic,” stated the Rajya Sabha MP.
Raut’s statements came a day after he met the Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari. In the meeting, Raut told the Governor, the Sena is not responsible for the delay in forming the government and nor does it want to create any obstacles in the process.
“The decision of govt formation will be taken soon. Maharashtra politics is changing and the Sena will win its fight for justice. We will get what we deserve”
