Chitrakar Vasant Wankhede Foundation hosts Short Film Festival
Chitrakar Vasant Wankhede Foundation hosted it’s first Short Film Festival 2020 recently at NGMA Mumbai. The festival aimed at nurturing young talents of diverse backgrounds in the art of scripting, story telling editing, animation, etc. With the help of Rotary and Knowledge Partner Whistling Woods International, the foundation wanted to touch base with grassroot level students. Ravi Gupta, Dean of Whistling Woods, was the Chief Guest, who with immense experience of film festivals, gave an inspiring speech. President Rajendra Chouhan of Rotary West Coast Mumbai, artist Satyajit Shergil, Merlyn Dsa, Corporator of Mira Bhayandar were present at the festival. The event included Bharatnatyam performances, panel discussions on animation, purpose of cinema, screening of a few award-winning short films and felicitation of the jury and guests. Winning films were: ‘Vitha’, ‘Lunch’, ‘Where Do We Find God?’, ‘09.09F’, ‘Wallet’, ‘Muktiparv’, ‘Kavla Ud’, ‘Aurora’, ‘Dark’, ‘Retirement’, ‘The Fox Of The Palm Grove’, ‘Mazar E Laila Majnu’.
