Just wave away

1.38 billion Indians warmly welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the Atal Tunnel at Rohtang, Himachal Pradesh. However, PM Modi treated the venue as Bihar election grounds and charged the UPA government with neglecting border development projects and compromising the nation’s security. Pained, one wanted to remind him that in the seven years of his government, we have not witnessed change on any front, particularly, on the economic front (due to ‘acts of god’). But such concerns would have been waved away. Just like he did from the Atal Tunnel or a boat on Dal Lake, Srinagar, or in Assam in December 2018.
