SWR observes Swachhata Pakhwada

Ministries in Government of India observe Swachhata Pakhwara from 16th Sept to coincide with the birth anniversar y of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation on 2nd Oct. As directed by Railway Board ‘Swachhata Pakhwara’ was observed on SWR from 16.09.2020 to 30.09.2020 with each day assigned for different activities that were taken up all over the Zone. Massive cleanliness drives were organized at various locations at Railway stations, circulating areas, station yards, Railway colonies, led by officers and staff of Headquarters and Divisions. The Swachhata Pakhwara has been done throughout the railway premises on SWR and spread the message of the importance of cleanliness and improving our surrounding by maintaining cleanliness. Additional Divisional Railway Manager of the respective division was nominated as nodal officer for Swachhata Pakhwara with the Chief Rolling Stock Engineer being the Nodal officer at the Zonal level. Under the nodal officers at Divisions, Swachhata Pakhwara was observed in Hubballi Division, Bengaluru Division and Mysuru Division.
