KDMC seizes illegally parked scrap vehicles

THANE: Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) again takes action against the scrap vehicles parked illegally in the J-ward of the twin-city, which sees maximum traffic snarls, daily. "The special drive against the scrap vehicles was carried on Januar y 13 and 14. The vehicles parked aside the road, leading to snarls and causing inconvenience to the pedestrians, was noticed in J ward of the KDMC," said an official from Kalyan traffic zone. The J-ward area covers the distance from Patripul bridge to Tata Power area in Kalyan, which daily sees immense traffic jam, especially during peak hours. "In the two days drive total 23 vehicles including four, two and three wheelers were seized by the officials. The drive was carried by KDMC in coordination with traffic team from Kalyan" added official.
