Smartworks gives on lease 80,000 square feet in Noida centre to IT firm France opposes foreign takeover offer for supermarket chain Carrefour
Co-working firm Smartworks has given on lease over 80,000 sq f t of office space, comprising more than 1,300 desks, in its facility at Noida to an IT-sof tware company as corporates look for flexible workspace amid COVID-19 pandemic. Leading property consultant Knight Frank India facilitated this leasing deal, one of the biggest in the co-working space.
France's government says it opposes the proposed 16.2 billion-euro (USD 19.6 billion) takeover of French supermarket chain Carrefour by Canadian convenience store group CoucheTard. Labor Minister Elisabeth Borne said Thursday on radio Europe 1 that she is "opposed to a takeover." That follows similar comments by Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire who explained that the countr y's "food sovereignty" is at stake.
