Piramal escape to victory

Los Polistas went down fighting to Piramal / ASC 4-5 in the fourth round of the Southern Command Cup (8 Goal) polo championship, at the Mahalaxmi racecourse here on Thursday.

Down 0-2 at one stage of the encounter, Los Polistas made a comeback notching up four goals in the later session, while Piramal /ASC could manage three, but the twogoal set back at the beginning of the match made the difference.

Sep Ravinder Mang (2) and three-goal spree by Dhruvpal Godara were the main playmakers for the winners.

Two-goal each by Syed Shamsheer Ali and Manuel Llorente Fernandez played well for Los Polistas.

The semifinals will be played on Friday while the title clash is slated to be held on Sunday.
