Lecture-cum-exposure visit to NHPC held under ‘46th Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration’ Western Railway bags 3 awards at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2020
A lecture-cum-exposure visit to Corporate Office of NHPC Limited, was hosted by Training & HRD Division of NHPC in NHPC Limited, Faridabad for participants of ‘46th Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration’ being organised by the prestigious Indian Institute of Public Administration on Januar y 12, 2021. A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC was the Chief Guest for the programme. Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) and Avinash Kumar, Executive Director (HRD) were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers. While addressing the participants, A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC informed about the various challenging conditions being faced by NHPC on day-to-day basis while executing its projects.
In continuous efforts to provide clean and green transportation to its commuters, Western Railway bagged three prestigious National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) in 'Transport' and 'Building - Govt offices' categories for the year 2020, organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministr y of Power. Western Railway has been awarded the First Prize in the Transportation Category along with first and second prize in Buildings Category for Divisional Railway Manager ’s offices at Bhavnagar and Rajkot respectively. This commendable achievement has been possible due to the dynamic leadership & valuable guidance of Alok Kansal- General Manager of Western Railway. On January 11, 2021, GM WR received the awards from Minister of Power R.K. Singh on a virtually organised event. GM WR congratulated and praised Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and his team for their undying efforts in making Western Railway greener and environment friendly.
