Lecture-cum-exposure visit to NHPC held under ‘46th Advanced Profession­al Programme in Public Administra­tion’ Western Railway bags 3 awards at the National Energy Conservati­on Awards 2020

A lecture-cum-exposure visit to Corporate Office of NHPC Limited, was hosted by Training & HRD Division of NHPC in NHPC Limited, Faridabad for participan­ts of ‘46th Advanced Profession­al Programme in Public Administra­tion’ being organised by the prestigiou­s Indian Institute of Public Administra­tion on Januar y 12, 2021. A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC was the Chief Guest for the programme. Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) and Avinash Kumar, Executive Director (HRD) were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers. While addressing the participan­ts, A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC informed about the various challengin­g conditions being faced by NHPC on day-to-day basis while executing its projects.

In continuous efforts to provide clean and green transporta­tion to its commuters, Western Railway bagged three prestigiou­s National Energy Conservati­on Awards (NECA) in 'Transport' and 'Building - Govt offices' categories for the year 2020, organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministr y of Power. Western Railway has been awarded the First Prize in the Transporta­tion Category along with first and second prize in Buildings Category for Divisional Railway Manager ’s offices at Bhavnagar and Rajkot respective­ly. This commendabl­e achievemen­t has been possible due to the dynamic leadership & valuable guidance of Alok Kansal- General Manager of Western Railway. On January 11, 2021, GM WR received the awards from Minister of Power R.K. Singh on a virtually organised event. GM WR congratula­ted and praised Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and his team for their undying efforts in making Western Railway greener and environmen­t friendly.
