Vaccination at TMC & KDMC: A Smooth day despite problems

The Covid vaccination process went on smoothly at the selected centres in both Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) constituencies. A few centres experienced minor technical glitches, however, the vaccine process was carried smoothly. The vaccination process started from morning 10:30 am till 5:00 pm in the evening, in both constituencies.

"The vaccination process began by giving it to the civic doctors, at various selected centres in Thane and Kalyan.

The main aim of giving it first to the doctors was to clear the doubts about the vaccine among the beneficiaries, as the vaccine's role is only to built immune system to fight the COVID-19 virus. Hence, there is no side effects of the same," said an official from TMC's health department.

"With the process of vaccine distribution by TMC in Thane, Saturday was one of the important day for the TMC officials and for us. As after long fight against the COVID-19 virus since last 10 months, we have finally began with important step of the vaccination process to curb the spread of the virus," said Naresh Mhaske, Mayor of Thane city.
