It will take a village
Ref.: ‘Saving kids a year' (January 16), rightly observes that the chaos in the educational field due to the Covid-19 pandemic is very disturbing and students should not be demotivated by demotion. Only 50 per cent of students could continue their studies online. Had all teachers been as proactive like the global award winning Ranjitsinh Disale, kids could have continued learning.
It is very important to motivate every child to go back to studies happily and for that counselling is needed. It is our duty and that of the government to save the children's year and allow schoolgoing to be an experience they look forward to. Maya Hemant Bhatkar
