BPCL plans pipeline in Andhra, Telangana to cut fuel buys from HPCL

Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd plans to invest 15 bln rupees to build a petroleum product pipeline from Krishnapat­nam Port to the outskirts of Hyderabad to reduce its high dependence on Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd to service Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Cogencis. At present, over 60% of petrol and diesel sold by BPCL at its retail outlets in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is sourced from its public sector peer Hindustan Petroleum Corporatio­n Ltd.
