Covid holds court
Tennis fans anxiously awaiting the Australian Open must be feeling disheartened with the news that 47 tennis players who landed in Australia to participate in the championship competition to be held from February 8, have been forced into quarantine after they tested positive for Covid19. They may not even move out for 14 days, even for practice. Around 1,200 players are expected to be present at the gala sporting event but with the absence of Andy Murray and Madison Keys on health grounds, the grand slam tour nament may be missing the usual euphoria.
