Thane traffic cops launch FB, Instagram pages

THANE: The Thane traffic has on Tuesday launched its Facebook and Instagram pages to take the road safety awareness more close to the youths. Thane police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and TMC commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma were present during the event.

"The Facebook and Instagram pages have been introduced to attract more youths towards road safety awareness. As we can reach to maximum number of citizens through this platform, the awareness campaign will become more effective," said a traffic official.

"Around 33 police official from Thane commissionerate have lost their lives to Covid-19. Taking lessons from it, one should respect lives of others while driving," said a senior official, Thane traffic dept.
