DCM Shriram's Oct-Dec consol PAT surges 45% on year, sales fall 2%

DCM Shriram Ltd's consolidated net profit for the December quarter jumped 44.5% on year to 2.53 bln rupees. Total revenue from operations for the quarter fell 1.6% to 21.59 bln rupees. Sequentially, the net profit rose over twofold and total revenue rose 5.5%. The company's other income fell to 170.2 mln rupees from 349.4 mln rupees a year ago. In Oct-Dec, total expenditure, including finance cost, was at 18.39 bln rupees compared with 20 bln rupees a year ago.
