BIZ BUZZ NTPC Group power generation up nearly 4% to 222.4 billion units in Apr-Dec

NEW DELHI: NTPC Group's gross cumulative generation rose 3.8% on year to 222.4 bln units in nine months ended December. The group also registered its highest-ever daily gross electricity generation at 1.01 bln units on Jan 18, it said in a release. The rise in energy generation is a key indicator of economic recover y in a countr y as energy consumption, especially of electricity and refiner y products, is usually linked to overall demand in the economy.
