Security forces defuse 30 kg IED in Dantewada

RAIPUR: Security forces in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh diffused a power ful IED weighing 30 kg implanted in under construction Aranpur-Nilawaya road and averted a big mishap a senior police official said on Wednesday.

The IED was diffused, while security forces went on combing operations in the Maoist-affected Dantewada district.

Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava confirmed that security forces have diffused the IED successfully.

Aaranpur-Nilawaya road is the same road where Doordarshan cameraperson along with three security personnel were killed in a Naxal ambush during the last assembly elections.
