Sasikala shifted to another hospital

With just a week for her formal release from prison here, former AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala was shif ted to Victoria Hospital here Thursday from the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital where she was admitted earlier. Authorities of the high security Parappana Agrahara Central Prison shif ted her in a wheelchair under tight security cover.

“She has been shif ted to Victoria Hospital because the police informed us that it is the designated hospital to treat convicts lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison,” said Dr Manoj Kumar HV, Dean and Director of Bowing and Lady Curzon Hospital. At Victoria Hospital Sasikala underwent a CT Scan of her chest. “It is protocol to conduct the CT Scan of patients with SARI (Severe Acute Respirator y Infection).”
