PERSONALITY PLUS
FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE was a British nurse and social reformer who strove to improve civilian and army healthcare throughout her life. The death and disease she saw in the Crimean War made her a hypochondriac (abnormally anxious about her health). On her return home, she confined herself to her bed, not allowing even her mother to come near her. She was convinced that her life was hanging by a thread. It must have been a pretty strong thread because she lived till the age of 90.
