THE LINES TWITTER SOFT ON IRAN TRUMP POST

-

Twitter suspended Iran's Supreme Leader ’s account af ter he posted an image of a drone targeting Trump-lookalike in revenge for a US airstrike that killed a general. The photo was taken from overhead which immediately elicited mention of a drone strike which was used to kill General Soleimani on January 3. Khamenei's tweet further asserted: 'Revenge is inevitable. Soleimani's killer and the one who ordered Soleimani's murder must take revenge.' He added that it was possible 'at any time.' Surprisingly, Twitter allowed the post to remain online for 17 hours before it took any action. Even then, Twitter only suspended the account and did not delete it. All of the responses to the tweet remain visible. As against this, Trump's entire account was deleted over his comments on January 6 to a crowd of rioters who then stormed the Capitol Hill. EO Jack Dorsey was inundated with questions about the double standard, reports Daily Mail. 'So Ayatollah Ali Khamenei gets a pass for threatening to assassinate a former US President?' one person asked. Twitter has not explained why Khamenei has been given a sof ter touch.
