Four arrested for cheating NBFCs by submitting fake documents for loan

MUMBAI: Vashi Police arrested four people who have allegedly duped several banks by submitting fake documents for loan. They have cheated several nonbanking financial organisations in

Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane in the last four years.

The arrested accused were identified as

Shridhar Narola, 43, and Satyen

Yashwant, 45 (both residents of Mira Road), Sanjay Sunil Sawant, 50 (a resident of Borivali), and Pawan Sinha, 45 (a resident of Kandivali). Police said that fraud cases against them were registered in several police stations in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Vashi Police arrested them in a similar fraud case that took place in 2018, wherein the accused cheated Bajaj Finance of Rs 52 lakh. -
