Priorities, priorities?

Ref.: ‘Killjoy UP adds to the cost of tipplers’ (January 25). The UP government's move to increase the price of alcohol and enforce the licence system for liquor meant for home consumption, is uncalled for. Can the concerned authorities concentrate on other important issues like the rape of women that continues to occur in that state and elsewhere? What about the prices of petrol and diesel which are likely to score a century any time soon? Incidentally, both alcohol and fuel are out of the GST purview.
