-

Apart from the fight against Covid-19, Mumbai is facing severe shortage of blood to address the need of thalassemia, sickle cell and haemophilia patients. Taking into consideration the severe shortage of blood in Mumbai, Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) appealed to its employees to come forward and donate blood as the city needs it. A blood donation camp in this regard was organized between January 5, to January 16, 2021 in collaboration with State Blood Transfusion Council and Adani Foundation across AEML offices including its 500 MW thermal power plant at Dahanu. Speaking on the Blood Donation drive, AEML spokesperson said,” In these tough times, AEML is aware that the city of Mumbai is running short of blood and we are happy that close to 600 employees came forward along with their family to donate the blood. AEML has always stood by the city of Mumbai in tr ying times whether it was working relentlessly in the lockdown to the Nisarga cyclone and during the power outage in October 2020.”
