NEW DELHI, Jan. 7: The Chinese have massed their troops at various points on our northern borders and dug in deeply in areas adjoining Sikkim and Bhutan.

Reports reaching here indicate that the Chinese militia, wellarmed and backed up by Tibetan conscripts, are being rushed to the border areas in heavy trucks.

Big concentrations of the enemy on the Ladakh area was also reported.

The Barahoti area had so far not been occupied by the Chinese. The probing by the Chinese in the Ladakh sector and the Tawang region in NEFA continued without abatement. Many Chinese infiltrators were reported lurking among the local trials in the valleys in NEFA.
