The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated at NTPCRamagu­ndam with patriotic fervor on Januar y 26, 2021. At a project-level programme held at M. G. Stadium, Chief Guest of the occasion Sunil Kumar, CGM ( Ramagundam & Telangana) hoisted the tri-colour and took the salute at march-past. Addressing the gathering, Sunil Kumar spoke on the significan­ce of Republic Day besides highlighti­ng the glorious histor y of NTPC and its contributi­on in the developmen­t of the countr y. He highlighte­d on the success stor y of NTPC-Ramagundam with emphasis on plant per formance. NTPCRamagu­ndam is moving ahead to achieve its annual target in FY 2020-21 despite Covid disruption.

NTPC Solapur project was celebrated India's 72nd Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Chief Guest N Srinivas Rao, GGM (Solapur) unfurled & saluted the National Flag. Speaking on the occasion N Srinivas Rao recalled freedom fighters and said NTPC Ltd. establishe­d in 1975 and proved itself as the dominant power major with presence in the entire value chain of the power generation business. Today’s total installed capacity of the company is 63,785 MW including coal, gas, hydro, solar and wind energy projects. The company has set a target to have an installed power generating capacity of 130 GW by the year 2032. Stating the importance of renewable energy N Srinivas Rao said NTPC has an aim to establish maximum renewable energy stations in coming years.
