Union Home Minister gifts PMJAY benefits to 28 lakh CAPF personnel and their families

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the ‘Ayushman CAPF’ scheme at CRPF Group Centre Guwahati that has gif ted the access of healthcare providers under ‘Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY)’ to about 28 Lakh CAPFs, Assam Rifles & NSG personnel and their families in all the states where PMJAY is operationa­l. To this end an MoU between the National Health Authority and Ministry of Home Affairs was signed on the occasion which was also attended by Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam and Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, and other dignitarie­s. Bhudhaswar­i Devi, mother of CRPF Mahila Constable Namita Devi became the family member to receive the e-card under the scheme. The Home Minister then e-inaugurate­d Sashastra Seema Bal’s 168 Type-II Quarters, 10 Bedded hospitals, and an Administra­tive building situated at different locations across Assam.
