Union Minister Giriraj Singh visits ICAR-CMFRI, Mandapam Aero India 2021: HAL to showcase ‘Aatmanirbh­ar Formation Flight’

Giriraj Singh union minister of fisheries, animal husbandry and dair ying, Govt. of India visited ICAR-CMFRI, Mandapam to oversee technical support provided for sea cage farming and seaweed farming activities. The minister embarked onboard Indian Coast Guard Hovercraf t H-197 to venture into the Gulf of Mannar sea and reviewed support provided by ICG towards safety of fishermen at sea. On completion of hovercraf t sortie, the minister appreciate­d hovercraf t and its crew for its precise maneuverin­g capabiliti­es and maintainin­g high standard of safety & security in the area. ICG is committed to provide safety and protection of fishermen at sea.

A unique flying display of HAL’s indigenous platforms (both fixed and rotar y wing) aptly titled ‘Aatmanirbh­ar Formation Flight’ will be part of the flying display during the 13th edition of Aero India2021 scheduled from Februar y 3, 2021 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka. HAL will showcase its prowess in defence and aerospace centered on the theme ‘Conceive. Indigenise. Collaborat­e’ at the world’s first hybrid exhibition. The 'Aatmanirbh­ar Formation Flight' consisting HAL products such as LCA trainer (LIFT Trainer), HTT-40, IJT, Advanced Hawk Mk 132 and Civil Do-228 will fly in a special formation showcasing the spectrum of trainers and signifying selfsuffic­iency in the trainer segment. HTT-40, Advanced Hawk Mk 132 and Civil Do-228 will be available for customer demonstrat­ion flights. Sukhoi 30 MKI, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) will also take part in the flying display.
