Western Railway GM inaugurates molecular RT-PCR facility at Jagjivan Ram Hospital

Western Railway’s Jagjivan Ram Hospital has earned the distinction of being the first Railway Hospital to be dedicated as COVID hospital. During the challenging times of Covid19 pandemic, JRH has ensured state of the art medical facilities and has treated more than 3650 Covid patients with an excellent recover y rate of 92%. In continuance to this, Jagjivan Ram Hospital (JRH) has developed an in-house facility for COVID-19 testing which will help for early diagnosis and will help in case of OPD admission/emergency surgeries. This is the first Molecular RT-PCR laborator y which has Bio Safety Level-3 (BSL-3) facility over Indian Railways. On 27th Januar y, 2021 Shri Alok Kansal – General Manager of Western Railway inaugurated the facility and gave the green signal to start the molecular lab for patients.
