Bopanna ties up with McLachlan Indian shooters top medals tally Gaurav Gill rules day one

MELBOURNE: Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna's search to look for a partner for the men's doubles competitio­n at the Australian Open ended on Saturday as he tied up with Japan's Ben McLachlan for the season's first Grand Slam.

NEW DELHI: India's 24-member shooting contingent topped the medals tally in the first Asian Online Shooting Championsh­ip. The squad won four out of the eight gold medals on offer, besides two silver and five bronze medals, for a total of 11 podium finishes.

COIMBATORE: Gaurav Gill stole the show on opening day of the Rally of Coimbatore, Rd-3 of the FMSCI Indian National Rally here on Saturday. Gill along with his JK Tyre co-driver Musa Sherif, opened up a comfortabl­e lead in the first two stages of the day itself.

NEW DELHI: BCCI secretary Jay Shah was unanimousl­y elected as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Saturday. The 32-year-old replaces Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Najmul Hasan Papon. BCCI treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal shared the news on Twitter.
