- SHANKAR RAJ

The 13th edition of biennale Aero India is set to take off on Wednesday (Feb 3) here at the Yelahanka Air Force Base. This mega air show will be the first global air show to be held amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hosted by the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Exhibition Organisation, the air show will witness some of the best flying machines and fighter jets from across the world. The air show would provide a platform for manufacturers and service providers from the Indian aerospace and aviation industry to meet potential buyers of their products.

The air show would be held with strict Covid-19 protocols including wearing masks and sanitising hands. Visitors will also have to undergo an RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to the event. Only those with a Covid-19 negative test report will be allowed entry.

It will be the first time when the 3-day event is touted as India’s first hybrid air show, delegates will take part physically and virtually.
