New Covid-19 cases, deaths decline; recovery rate rises

India's new Covid-19 cases and deaths continue to follow a downward slide, with the recovery rate of 97%, with 11,858 recoveries in the last 24 hours while the active caseload is just 1.56% of total infects of 1.075 crore.

There were only 11,427 new cases in 24 hours which is the lowest in the past one month. A total of 1,04,34,983 people have recovered so far. 11,858 patients have recovered and got discharged in the last 24 hours. The higher number of recoveries via-a-vis new cases has widened the gap between recovered and active cases to more than 1 crore (10,266,748).

India’s Daily New Cases continue to follow a downward trajectory. From an alltime high of 96,551 on 11th September, 2021, the country’s daily new positive cases have come down to 11,427 on 1st February,2021.

The lowest 118 deaths were reported in 24 hours, again the lowest in a month, Maharashtr­a recording the highest 40 deaths, followed b Kerala 21, West Bengal 9, Uttar Pradesh 8, Punjab and Tamil Nadu 6 each and Delhi and Karnataka 4 each.
