Fire breaks out at film set in Goregaon West
On Tuesday afternoon, a fire broke out at a film set on an open ground behind Inorbit Mall, Goregaon (west). The incident took place around 4:13 pm and initially the fire was identified as Level 1, however with time the flames intensified and the fire was eventually identified as Level 2. Five fire engines, one JCB, and one water tanker was deployed at the spot and after a four-hour-long fight, the flames were doused at around 8 pm. One fire brigade official was injured. The individual has been identified as Akshay Tarte (23). Tarte was rushed into hospital and was discharged soon after his treatment.
Fire officials stated that the fire intensified due to the presence of flammable objects around. "The place where the fire took place was filled with objects like cupboards, clothes, and paint due to which the flames intensified," a fire official told FPJ. Meanwhile, on Tuesday afternoon another fire broke out at the Laxmi Plaza building in Andheri West.
