Manjula Shetye case: Accused constable denied bail

MUMBAI: A sessions court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of police constable Wasima Shaikh accused in the Manjula Shetye custodial death case. Shaikh had filed the application citing health conditions. The crime branch had opposed the plea on the grounds that she has not made any new grounds in her application and her bail on the present grounds has already been rejected earlier. Rejecting a previous bail plea of Shaikh as well as other co-accused, the court had said that the offence is serious.
