SSR: Plea for CBI status report junked
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea seeking direction to the CBI to submit a status report in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. A Bench headed by CJI SA Bobde, dismissing the plea said, “We are not going to entertain this plea, we are dismissing. Go to the High Court where an investigation is going on. Dismiss.” The plea filed by Puneet Dhanda had said the top court around 4 months back directed the CBI to conduct an enquiry in the case of actor's death but nothing has happened since then.

committee of the Rajasthan Wildlife Board’s has cleared a proposal to allow the mining of a special sandstone, much sought af ter by builders including those constructing the Ram temple in Ayodhya, from Bharatpur ’s Bandh Baretha sanctuar y. The proposal to denotify the sanctuar y for the mining of the pink sandstone from there will now be put up before the Rajasthan Wildlife Board, headed by CM Gehlot, Chief Wildlife Warden Mohan Meena told PTI on Wednesday.
No child labour or begging at 50 ‘places’
Apex child rights body NCPCR has identified 50 “religious places”, including the Taj Mahal and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, where interventions will be undertaken to ensure zero tolerance towards child labour. In a statement, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) said the intervention shall be undertaken in a collaborative manner with the involvement of multi-stakeholders including child welfare police officers, anti-human trafficking unit, representatives from NGOs/CSOs and religious trust and groups.

While the man was arrested for theft at 2 temples, the police are on the lookout for his wife. Santapuram Siddesh and S. Sujatha allegedly committed thefts at two temples under Langer House and Kulsumpura police station limits after a 'tantrik' suggested they perform a special puja.
2 lions, leopard found dead in Gujarat
Two
lions and a leopard were found dead across Gujarat, a senior forest dept official said on Wednesday. The carcasses of an adult lion and a cub were found on Tuesday in different ranges of the Gir forest in Saurashtra region, while the leopard was found dead in Amreli, he said. An Asiatic lion, over 12 years old, died due to old age in Devalia Safari Park near Sasan-Gir, the gateway to the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary.
