Man held for raping minor, making video

The Kurla police have arrested a 35-year-old man a month after he allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl from his vicinity. The accused (name withheld) who has a saloon in the same area allegedly made a video clip of the incident, and threatened the girl with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

According to the police, the incident came to light last week when a relative of the accused saw the video clip in his mobile phone. Since his relative stays in the same area, he immediately identified the girl from his neighborhood and alerted the victim's family members.

After learning about her daughter's ordeal, mother approached the Kurla police station. Soon after the incident was reported to the police station, the police arrested the accused.
