STATE BANK SEES DOUBLE-DIGIT L OAN GROWTH JULY-SEPTEMBER ONWARDS

State Bank of I ndia expects loan growth to inch up to double-digit from Jul-Sep onwards on the back of economic revival, which will lead to improvement in utilisation of working capital limits and increased borrowing from companies. "The reas on for the confidence is that if there is going to be the infrastructure spend, the way it has been indicated in the Budget, then there is going to be a definite improvement in the economic activity of the core sector - iron & steel, cement, con struction. That will lead to demand generation," Dinesh Kumar Khara, chairman of SBI s aid.
