Whirlpool net profit falls 12% on year to Rs 64.3 crore in third quarter

Whirlpool of India Ltd's net profit for the December quarter fell 12.1% on year to 643.7 mln rupees. Revenue from operations for the quarter rose 17.5% to 14.94 bln rupees. Sequentially, the net profit fell 50% and revenue fell 6.6%. Analysts had estimated net profit at 964.4 mln rupees and net sales at 14.97 bln rupees.
