Eminently sensible

Ref.: ‘BMC as a single plan authority’ (February 4). At last, we are talking sense - a single authority to look after the needs of Mumbai. The proposal is welcome. Experience shows us that in case of any mishap, there was this tendency to pass the buck. Nobody was held accountable and in the bargain, it was the city that suffered. Of course, by virtue of the BMC being the sole authority, there should be no scope for mismanagement and it will function in the best interests of its citizens.
