Cops arrest two for carrying drugs

MUMBAI: The NM Joshi Marg police have arrested two persons for allegedly carrying 40.4 grams of mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 2.4 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the duo from Lower Parel on Thursday night and seized the contraband substance. The accused are identified as Mohammad Shahid Qureshi, 36 and Ashfaaq Qureshi, 35. The police also seized cash of Rs 4 lakh from them which they allegedly earned af ter selling the band substances, said police. –Staff Reporter
