West Bengal Budget: Opp slams govt

-

Protesting for not calling Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to the Budget session, BJP MLAs amidst chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' walked out of the state Assembly while Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tabled the state Budget.

BJP central leader and West Bengal observer Arvind Menon said that the TMC government doesn’t do anything democratically. “The BJP will launch a manifesto that will showcase the works the saffron camp will undertake to build Sonar Bangla. Banerjee didn’t keep the actual budget in mind before announcing sops. Dhankhar had spoken the truth which is against the state government for which he wasn’t invited,” mentioned Menon. Ahead of the polls, the TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee had announced developmental works across the state. Parateachers clash with cops At a time when Kolkata turned into a battlefield as the protesting Para teachers clashed with the police, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a host of developments for the Para teachers. In a march to the West Bengal secretariat to submit the problems faced by them, the Para teachers on Friday clashed with the police in North Kolkata. Sumitra Ghosh, a teacher, told FPJ: “We have been protesting for many days, today when we were about to march towards Nabanna, the police had resorted to lathi-charge without any reason leaving several injured. We perform all our duties and despite that, we are not paid properly,” said the protesting teacher.
