Army lays foundation of tallest national flag in Gulmarg

GULMARG: The Indian Army on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the tallest Indian national flag in Gulmarg, J&K. The flag will be on a 100-foot-high pole. It will be a first in many ways. The site is expected to become another tourist attraction in the snow-clad mountains. General Officer Commanding 19 Infantry Division of Kashmir, Major General Virendra Vats said, “The endeavour contribute­s to peace and stability in Kashmir. It is more than just a flag. It represents dreams, hopes and aspiration­s of 100 billion people.”
