Inaugurating several projects of Government of India like BPCL LPG terminal, Dhobi-Durgapur Natural Gas Line at Haldia’s Petrochem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that with the upcoming projects undertaken by BJPled central government, West Bengal’s Kolkata will be once again the industrial hub of Eastern India.

“The BJP government is striving hard to uplift the status of Eastern India. Today foundation stones of four new projects have been laid. Once these projects start not only employment will be generated for Eastern India, but people of Bihar, Jharkhand and even North East will also be benefitted,” mentioned the PM adding that ‘one nation, one gas grid is necessary for India’.

Port in Kolkata has been modernised, Modi mentioned the necessity of revamping Haldia Port Trust to increase connectivity with other countries.

“Eastern India more than 99 percent of people avail LPG gas. Today India is in the position to export gas,” mentioned Modi urging the West Bengal state government to connect Haldia’s Jagdishpur pipeline with Durgapur.

Earlier this day, attending a party program, Modi said that the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s ruling Trinamool Congress is the extension of the former Left Front Government.

“The TMC government has done many fouls and the people of West Bengal will soon show this government Ram card. West Bengal had the potential to be an industrial hub but the Congress, the Left Front and the TMC spoiled it,” said Modi adding that the ruling Trinamool Congress, Congress and the Left Front hold closed door meetings at Delhi to chalk out ways to defeat the BJP in the polls.

Taking a pot shot at Mamata Banerjee for not implementing BJP led Central government’s schemes in West Bengal, Modi alleged that the TMC government didn’t mention the bank account numbers of the farmers where the Central government will transfer the subsidy.
