Govt staff asked to arrange b’day party of Cong MLA

Theissue of parliamentar y secretar y and its unauthorized influence on govt machinery is again become talk of the town for wrong reasons in Chhattisgarh. This time Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Palari of Bhatapara-Balodabazar district issued an order in written that govt officers from SDO, Engineer to data entry officer, will make arrangement for the birthday celebrations of the Parliamentary Secretary Shakuntala Sahu who is also Congress MLA from Kasdol constituency. The official letter which was dated February 06 (Saturday), 2021 has mentioned the names of government officers to take care of tent management, parking, even management of floor mats for the birthday party celebration of MLA Shakuntala Sahu held on Sunday. After the order copy get leaked, it created uproar in the state and storm on social media about the misuse of government machinery. To get rid of the questions, the parliamentary secretary has switched off her phone. The CEO Palari said the programme was cancelled. BJP spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava accused the Congress govt and its elected representatives of making misuse of govt machinery to have personal gains.
