GM SWR conducts annual inspection of Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi

Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South Western Railway, Hubballi, conducted Annual Inspection of the Carriage and Repair Workshop, South Western Railway Hubballi on January 28, 2021. Hubballi Workshop established in 1885 under Southern Mahratta Railway for maintenance of Meter Gauge Locos, Coaches and Wagons is a historic workshop that has transformed with time. The main activity of this workshop is Periodical Overhauling of Railway coaches. Periodical Overhauling (POH) of ICF Coaches, POH of MEMU & DEMU Coaches, POH of BVZI Brake Vans, Tower Cars based on the schedule is done here. In addition, conversion of non serviceable BG coaches to NMG, RE etc, IOH of ICF Trolleys and also repairs to all type of wheels, DVs etc, is being undertaken in the Workshop.
