Burger King net loss widens to Rs 29 cr
NEW DELHI: Burger King India Ltd's net loss in the December quarter widened to 290.26 mln rupees from 217.29 mln rupees a year ago.
Net loss was 385.04 mln rupees in Jul-Sep. Revenue during the quarter declined 28.4% to 1.63 bln rupees.
Sequentially, revenue rose 68.7%. The company's other income rose to 126.78 mln rupees from 5.9 mln rupees a year ago.
In Oct-Dec, total expenditure, including finance cost, was at 2.05 bln rupees compared with 2.5 bln rupees a year ago.
Finance cost rose sharply by 45.7% on year to 234 mln rupees.
Burger King India's operating margin contracted to 9.31% in Oct-Dec from 11.44% a year ago.
At 1038 IST, shares of Burger King India were trading 2.1% lower at 150.85 rupees on the National Stock Exchange.
