POSTAL STAMP ON AMBULANCE DADA’ ‘BIKE

KOLKATA: The postal department on Wednesday released the stamp of Padma Shri Karimul Haque. Haque is also known as ‘Bike ambulance dada’. Senior Super of Kranti Post office of Jalpaiguri in North Bengal, Animesh Das, handed over a postal stamp called ‘My Stamp’ to Karimul Haque. Praising the Kranti Post Office on receiving the honor, Haque said that serving people is the most important thing. The man who has served nearly 6,500 people till now, carries the teachings of Swami

Vivekanand­a and Rabindrana­th Tagore in his heart. “There is an absolute pleasure in serving sick people. More people should come up and help other people. This honor is for the entire Jalpaiguri,” said ‘Bike ambulance dada’. In 2017, Haque was bestowed with Padma Shri, one of the highest civilian awards of our country.
