SC asks Singh brothers' lenders about role in Fortis Health share sale

The Supreme Court today asked lenders to Singh brothers, the former promoters of Fortis Healthcare Ltd, to spell out their role in the transfer of the company's shares to IHH Healthcare Berhad despite a court order barring any such transfer. One of the promoters, Malvinder Singh, said that the transfers were done by banks, which had lien on those shares, and not by him or his brother.
